LifeSpace

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 Aug 2026 · Applies to the LifeSpace Android application.

This policy explains what LifeSpace ("the app", "we") does with your information. LifeSpace is published by Shankar Ghule, based in India. If anything here is unclear, write to lifespaceapp2026@gmail.com. These terms work alongside our Terms of Service.

1. What stays on your device

The content you create in LifeSpace — journal entries, scanned documents, photos, videos, audio, tasks, tags and spaces — is stored locally on your device. We do not upload it to our servers, and we cannot read it.

Android's own backup feature may copy app data to your personal Google Drive if you have device backup switched on. That copy is held in your Google account under Google's terms, not ours, and we have no access to it. You can turn device backup off in Android settings.

Because this content is held on your device, uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes it permanently from the device. Keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose.

2. Permissions the app asks for

3. Information collected automatically

Advertising

LifeSpace shows ads supplied by AppLovin MAX and its mediation partners. To serve and measure ads, these providers may receive your device's advertising identifier, approximate location derived from your IP address, device model, operating system version, and how you interacted with an ad.

You can limit this on Android under Settings → Privacy → Ads, where you can delete or reset your advertising ID and opt out of personalised advertising.

Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions are processed by Google Play and managed through RevenueCat. We never see or store your card details. Google Play shares a purchase token with us so the app knows whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives that token along with an anonymous identifier it generates for your installation, so the app can check your subscription status across reinstalls.

4. Third parties we share data with

We do not sell your personal information. Data is shared only with the service providers needed to run the app:

Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy.

5. Consent for personalised ads

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, LifeSpace asks for your consent before any advertising partner collects data for personalised advertising. The prompt appears when you first open the app, and you can choose to decline. Declining does not limit any feature — you will still see ads, but they will not be personalised.

You can change your choice at any time from the privacy option in the app's settings, or reset your advertising ID in Android settings as described above.

6. How long data is kept

Content you create stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app; we hold no copy and therefore keep it for no period at all. Advertising and subscription data are retained by the providers listed above under their own retention schedules. Email you send us is kept only as long as needed to answer your question.

7. Children

LifeSpace is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

The app can be locked with a PIN or biometric unlock, which you enable in settings. Your content is protected by your device's own storage protections. Data exchanged with the providers named above travels over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, so keep your device locked and its software up to date.

9. Your choices and rights

If you are in the EEA or UK, you have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability under the GDPR. We rely on your consent for personalised advertising, and on performance of a contract for processing your subscription. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before you did so. If you are in India, you have comparable rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Use the contact address below to exercise them.

10. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when the app's data practices change, and revise the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced in the app before they take effect.
